Dress – Zara | Vest – Melvina | Bag – Chloe (BBOS) | Boots – Stuart Weitzman
Today I wanted to share a look I have really been loving lately and that’s a mix of all grey tones + faux fur. I have always been a fan of faux fur when the seasons get cold enough and having a faux fur vest is the only practical option right now in Texas. I have been on the search for a shaggy faux fur or teddy bear coat for when it gets colder but I have yet to find the one I want yet. I am really happy that I found this vest in grey as grey is my favorite color to style right now and I think it will go with a ton of different looks.
This long sleeve knit dress is perfect for holiday parties as it can easily be dressed up or down. Under $36 from Zara and also comes in black and a few other colors. I grabbed the grey marle for this look but I might go back for the black as I think it would be really cute with black pumps and this vest again for a holiday party look.
My Chloe Drew bag is a rental from Bag Barrow or Steal (first time using them and really impressed so far). I change my mind about bags pretty often and I knew I wanted to try a Drew bag but I wasn’t ready for the full investment yet. I wanted to take it for a test drive first! I am unsure if I will renew this one again next month again or try something new. I think it’s really fun using BBOS because it’s like having a SomethingNavy (love her) closet to pick from and who wouldn’t want that?
I hope you have a great Friday and weekend ahead! Thanks for stopping by.

With the holidays full steam ahead, I thought I would share a few gift guide ideas for each person on your shopping list. First up is an easy one to buy for – the beauty lover. I picked a few items that are on my personal Christmas list as well as a few of my favorites or items I’ve received as gifts that I really love. I think gifting sets like the Superstars set is great because they’ve already done all of the thinking for you and put together a handful of must haves. I also really like the Lashstash kit if you know the person your gifting to is looking for a good mascara, this would give them a ton of options to test out. You can also never go wrong with a perfume set like this Elizabeth and James Nirvana set (really like this scent).
If you’re looking to get more creative, I thought it would be cute to grab this Sephora makeup bag or something similar and fill it with a few different products like the Dior lip balm and Becca palette together. I love doing gifts like that because its a gift inside of a gift – double win! And can I just mention how cute the Bottle Service Nail Polish Set is for your girlfriends or even as a hostess gift for a holiday party? Obsessed!
I hope you guys enjoyed this gift guide for beauty lovers – stay tuned for more gift ideas coming soon!
Poncho – Melvina | Sunglasses – Quay Melvina | Tank – Zara | Jeans – Zara | Booties – Target | Bag – Alexander Wang (orange-yellow color is sold out but I love this color too)
A poncho is the perfect accessory right now with the changing season and multiple layers needed. I have been wearing this Aztec one from Melvina more than I probably should! It is so cozy and literally the perfect thing to throw on for a lazy rainy Sunday. I also picked up these little black booties from Target last week and I love them, not to mention they were on sale for $24! I have been looking for the perfect pair of short black booties with a heel and of course Target had my back. They’re having a buy 1 get 1 50% off sale right now so I might have also grabbed 2 more pairs of booties and a pair of moccasin slippers because why not?
If you can’t tell already I am really obsessed with Quay sunglasses. Quay is an eye wear line out of Australia and is one of the first accessory lines I added to Melvina and I am so happy I did. They make literally the best sunglasses for the price and they’re also so fun and trendy and different. I find that I rarely wear any of my other sunglasses because I always have a pair of Quay on! These ones are the ‘Cha Cha’ and I really liked them because not only are they a great shape but they also reminded me of a pair from Celine.
And finally my 2 year old love – my Alexander Wang Rocco bag. I got this bag for Christmas almost 2 years ago and I think I carried it for a year and a half straight, everyday. I love this bag so much. The color is such a fun burnt orange that it goes with any season and the leather is so buttery soft. This bag still looks brand new even after I spilt red wine on it and it never left a stain. Alexander Wang makes a baby version of this bag called the Rockie and an even baby-er version called the Rockie Mini and I think I will be adding one of these styles soon because I love this bag that much.
Thanks so much for stopping by – I hope you have a great week! x

With the holiday parties upon us I thought it would be fun to do a few posts on how to style for these events starting with my favorite – heels. Between personal parties and parties for Melvina – I have a few events to plan for myself and I love a good pair of heels. Last night I hopped on Revolve and I put a few of my favorites together. I wanted to have some different color and texture options from staple blacks to metallic to suede and sparkly. Which style is your favorite?Stay tuned for more on what to wear for holiday parties!
Sunglasses – Quay Melvina | Dress – Zara | Jacket – Zara | Bag and Pom – Naked Vice | Boots – Stuart Weitzman
When I saw this dress at Zara – my inner 70s goddess (I always wanted to live in the 70’s) told me to try it on. Normally I pick up a lot of basics when I’m shopping and forget to grab stand out pieces like this one but I’m so glad I did! I love the texture, shape, high neckline and all around retro feel of this dress. I tried it on in the dressing room with this jacket also from Zara and I really liked the contrasting vibes and thought they would both pair good with my Lowland boots. I call it 70s biker glam.
