Happy Monday and happy Halloween!

I have never been big into Halloween but I do love seeing all the creative costumes everyone else comes up with. Last year Bryson and I started the tradition of handing out candy to kids at our new house and we will be doing that again tonight. Last year we put on panda onesies and face paint to hand out the candy and we had over 100 kids stop by. Either we’re getting old fast or we are super lame but either way I’m okay with it.

This oversized blush sweater however is not lame and I am obsessed with it. I can foresee myself wearing this one a ton in the upcoming months and I am even considering it in another color. These black suede booties are also a new addition in my closet and I scored them on sale. They are the perfect staple black bootie that I needed in my wardrobe. They are still on sale and you can shop them here. Shop the rest of my look via the images below.

Thanks again for stopping by and Happy Halloween!

If someone asked me for 5 wardrobe staples that should be in any wardrobe, a leather jacket would be high on that list. Leather or faux leather can take a “meh” outfit to an edgy outfit with just one touch. Throw on a leather jacket with some jeans and booties and you’re good to go for the night. This one I picked up from Zara last year for under $60 is my go to for the fall and winter. I also love pairing a leather jacket with leather accessories like this Chanel bag.

The 90’s are calling and I’m not mad about it at all. Being a 90’s child I am loving all of the fashions that are currently in style like this slip dress paired with a t-shirt under. Or the black tattoo chokers that I have been living in lately. It’s true what they say everything comes back around. To complete this look I styled this dress and jacket with my favorite Miu Miu ballet flats as they have a touch of leather on the straps and give this edgy look a touch of feminine.

This week has felt the most like fall that we’ve seen in Austin this year and I am LOVING it. There is something so magical about the fall season from the scents to the fashions and the festivities I think we can all agree on loving this time of year. Being from Michigan and now living in Texas my fall attire has changed slightly but I still love dressing as fall as Austin will let me with light layers and fall colors.

If you haven’t noticed already I am currently obsessed with blush, mauve and rose toned colors. When I went shopping with my mom this past weekend (she was in town from Michigan and we had the best time) I saw mauve, rose or blush toned clothing at each store. Naturally I gravitated towards those items and I even found a pair of velvet blush colored sneakers – I was instantly obsessed (see them here). I think and love that this color pallet is big for fall and winter.

This lightweight jacket was sent to me from SheIn and I think it is the perfect staple for fall. It’s lightweight enough to layer but also gives you the trench-y look that is always in for fall. Of course it is a mauve rose color and I had to pair it with this rose Free People tank under it because I love the way the colors compliment yet contrast each other. These Forever 21 boots I have been obsessed with since I got them as they go with everything and they were so cheap.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
