I know that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale can be a bit overwhelming to shop and if you find yourself unsure of just what to get in the sea of selections, I would say to think “quality over quantity” – denim is always one of the best buys during the sale because there are some amazing mark downs on the best designer jeans! This is truly the best time of the year to stock up on some staple jeans you know will be flattering on and will last for years to come!
If you missed my post on my fashion & beauty favorites still in stock, make sure to check it out here.
Ripped High Waist Ankle Skinny Jeans (now $139 – after sale $209)
Pretty much anything you have in your closet will go with these versatile jeans. The high waist is a great update on the classic skinny jean and the rips on both knees make it ideal for casual wear. You can tuck in a tee (I love this one for only $15 right now!) ankle boots, and you’ve got yourself the perfect everyday outfit! If you want an even more put together outfit, any cute cardigan like this one ($30) with some fun converse kicks (under $50) will do the trick!
These jeans also come in the same style in a light wash. They are just as high waisted but the rips on the knees are slightly different. I love that they stay skinny no matter how many times you put them in the wash – great investment piece!
The Farrah High Rise Skinny Jeans ($125 now – $188 after sale)
These jeans are another great pair with great stretch (yet still keep their shape) which I love! They are quite long (I’m 5”10) and are a true skinny fit making them perfect to be paired with flats or tucked into boots. Did I mention that they’re over 30% off right now?! Honestly – the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is one of the few times I’ve ever seen these go on sale (and for this good of a deal!) so if I were eyeing them for awhile, now is the time to act!
I love the relaxed fit of these bad boys! They are SO flattering on and a true high waist fit. They don’t have stretch to them but still so comfortable because they’re loose fitting. These are essentially the perfect jeans for a fun ’90s look. I love wearing them with a ribbed tee like this one (only $18 during the sale).
These jeans are also the perfect length to be worn with booties because they cut off just before the ankle for me (I’m 5″10 for reference).
Downside to these? They’re SUPER popular right now and might sell out as I type this so I’m adding some similar styles here:
…and if you don’t feel like splurging on denim too much this year, there are also lots of affordable options! Here are a few that won’t break the bank:
