Happy Sunday loves!
I have had the most relaxing weekend so far getting caught up on things around the house + getting out our Christmas decor. We put our outside lights on the house last weekend and I am currently in the middle of decorating the inside and putting the tree together. So far I have the tree up and the lights on but I took a break before putting on the ornaments (shop our new ornaments here + here and here). Our house is getting festive fast and I’m not complaining. It is so crazy to me that this week is Thanksgiving – I feel like I was just blogging about it being Halloween.
Speaking of Thanksgiving I wanted to talk about the meaning of the holiday for me. This year I am feeling especially thankful for so many different things from family to business and blog success to health and everything in between. I know this has been a tough year for a lot of people and I can agree on that but I am looking forward to what 2017 has in store and I can’t help but feel so happy and content for where I am in this moment. I love Thanksgiving mainly because it literally gives you a day to stop what you’re doing and be thankful with those that mean the most to you. I hate that I can’t be home in Michigan with my family but I am excited to see them for Christmas and also excited to be here with Bryson’s family this week. Wherever you’re spending Thanksgiving this year I hope you’re feeling thankful and surrounded by those you love.
Okay onto this jacket tho. If you’ve been following my blog or Instagram you know I am obsessed with this blush color and hello who doesn’t love faux fur during this time of year? You will be seeing me sport this baby a few more times this year no doubt. This new black denim skirt I picked up from Free People is SO SO comfortable. It is made from the stretchiest denim material and I love styling it with different looks. These booties I’ve talked about in a past blog post – you already know I love them and they’re still on sale 40% off here. Aside from being obsessed with blush I am also loving pairing blush with grey and black colors. If you have those three colors in your wardrobe give it a try and I guarantee (as long as the items go together) you won’t be disappointed! That’s all I have for now.
