If you could only eat one thing for the rest of forever, what would it be? My pick would this Acai bowl.
I am beyond obsessed with these little delights and I have one just about every single day. For a while, I was going to the local juice bar to have them made for me which is where I found this blend that I’m obsessed with called ‘The Nutter Butter Bowl’ – after spending a decent amount of money over the weeks we decided to try the recipe at home. Although their Acai blend tastes a little bit more sweet we did get pretty close and I wanted to pass this recipe onto my followers because it is literally my new favorite thing to make at home.
If you’re unfamiliar with Acai or Acai bowls feel free to read up on the health benefits of eating this super fruit. Not only is this super delish, it is super healthy for you too! Win win!
Here is everything you will need to recreate this in your kitchen:
- A blender
- 2 packets of frozen Acai berry – I use Sambazon from Wholefoods
- A splash of apple juice
- 1 Tablespoon of peanut butter – I use Justin’s from Wholefoods
- 1 Handful of almonds
- 2 Handfuls of granola
- 1 Handful of rice cereal
- 1 Handful of sweet cacao nibs
- A dash of cinnamon
- Agave
Start out by putting half of the banana, a splash of apple juice and the packets of Acai berry into your blender and blend. Once blended put the spoonful of peanut butter and a dash of cinnamon in and mix it all together until you get a good consistency. Pour that into your bowl and get creative! I put the granola over half of the bowl and the rice cereal over the other half. Cut up the rest of your banana and put the pieces how you want. Sprinkle the almonds on, add the cacao nibs and then sprinkle more cinnamon and agave on top. Enjoy!
